A comprehensive high school serving 420 students in grades 9-12 in a rural, university community.
The PHS Choir Program serves 50 students in two curricular choirs, adaptive music, and weekly voice lessons. Extracurricular options include the annual musical, Blue Notes vocal jazz, and Solo/Ensemble Festivals. Students can choose to audition or be nominated for WSMA State Honor Choirs, WCDA All-State Choirs, SWC Conference Choir, and UW-Platteville Choral Festival. The PHS Music Department also offers courses in band, orchestra, and music theory, as well as extracurricular jazz band, pop strings, brass ensemble and woodwind ensemble.

The district held a special presentation June 8, 2015 to
celebrate this prestigious accolade
during the PHS Music Awards. The event honored the tireless efforts of the parents, teachers
and students who have made strengthening music education programs in our schools
a priority. The NAMM Foundation is a nonprofit
supported in part by the National
Association of Music Merchants and its nearly 9,200 members
around the world.
